**About the role**:
The Data Associate will report to Data Analysts and support other carbon teams to create meaningful insights from our data sets. The role requires the Data Associate to utilize tools such as coding skills, Salesforce, ODK, SQL, and web development technologies to extract, analyze, and present data in order to drive strategic decisions

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop and maintain scalable and efficient solutions to handle large volumes of data.
- Automate data processing and management processes.
- Design and create a user friendly web-based Management Information System for data management for distribution data for country projects. This may include piloting, interface creation, credential management, project allocation, technical backstopping support, and linkage with existing distribution capturing systems such as Salesforce, and other distribution data capture systems used in the company).
- Regular maintain and manage of the MIS website, and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure efficient use of the system (include soliciting feedback).
- Research and provide technical input on database cloud management and adoption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Support in developing and implementing data quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of data reported by Global Country Teams.
- Co-design and support the implementation of capacity development sessions for the Global Data Teams in adoption of new systems and improved processing and quality reporting.
- Support the development and management of mobile/digital surveys (including survey forms) for platforms such as Open Data Kit (ODK) and/or ONA, to meet needs data and carbon needs for Global Country Teams.

**Must Have**
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, DotNet etc.
- Minimum 2 year experience essential.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark.
- Knowledge of data management and processing techniques.
- Familiarity with MIS websites and their functionality would be a plus.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Interest and curiosity to explore and work in the Carbon market and development of carbon projects. Knowledge and understanding of carbon market would be plus.
- ODK/Salesforce form design knowledge would be a plus.
- Ability to work in a decentralized, global team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Interest and curiosity to explore and work in Carbon market and development of carbon projects;
- Polished MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, other data analysis tools a bonus;
- Ability to work in a decentralized, global team;
