**6G Argon (GTAW) Welder - Job Description** **Summary**: "Continual Improvement is our Motto" This job demands welding the components of Multitechh Engi Fab (MEF) products. Works with limited supervision from a detailed specification that spells out every requirement for the specific job. The job requires each weld to be completed to the specified standards using appropriate equipment and materials while following the employer's recommended procedures. It's also important to observe applicable safety precautions, to minimise the risk of injury to the welder or other workers nearby. Many welders/fitters supervise a team of helpers or assistants. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**: - Must be able to perform 6G position welding - Must be skilled enough to pass X-ray tests - Must be able to understand the demands and situation of the job and take appropriate actions with less or no supervision - Must be able to maintain its machine with utmost care and work in harmony with the team - Must be able to work with different types and sizes of materials - Safely operates all the machines and tools - Works well with other departments on location - Ability to pass the applicable test(s) and applicable Non-Destructive Exam - Promotes and supports safety, production and a positive attitude - Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department - **DO NOT CALL. ALL COMMUNICATIONS WILL BE VIA EMAIL ONLY.**_ **Basic Qualifications** - Minimum three years of related experience and/or training in welding related to piping projects - Must know different types and sizes of structural materials - Must have knowledge of weld fittings - Knowledge of different types and sizes of pipe, structural and vessel materials **Physical Strain**: - Standard requirements. Bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting and reaching will all be required occasionally in this position - Standing for long periods of time - Lifting and/or carrying objects - May be required to work at heights of up to 7 M - Must meet all ISO and company requirements - **DO NOT CALL.
