**Steel Fabricator - Duties and Responsibilities**

**1. Reading Drawings & Blueprints**
- Interpret technical drawings, plans, and fabrication diagrams.
- Understand specifications related to dimensions, materials, and joints.

**2. Measuring and Cutting Materials**
- Accurately measure and mark steel sections (angles, pipes, channels, flats).
- Cut materials using cutting torches, grinders, saws, or CNC machines.

**3. Drilling and Welding**
- Drill holes for bolts or fasteners as per drawing.
- Weld parts using MIG, TIG, or arc welding methods.
- Ensure proper welding techniques and penetration as per job needs.

**4. Assembling Steel Components**
- Fit and tack-weld steel parts into the required assembly.
- Align structures or frames before final welding.

**5. Fabrication and Pre-Assembly**
- Fabricate trusses, purlins, columns, or beams in workshop or on-site.
- Use jigs or clamps to hold parts in place during welding.

**6. Erection and Installation**
- Assist in lifting and fixing steel structures at the construction site.
- Align trusses and structural members properly during erection.
- Use cranes, scaffolding, and other lifting tools safely.

**7. Surface Preparation and Painting**
- Clean and grind welded joints and surfaces.

**8. Maintenance of Tools and Equipment**
- Maintain fabrication tools, welding machines, and cutting gear.
- Ensure tools are clean, calibrated, and safe to use.

**9. Safety and Compliance**
- Follow safety guidelines for welding, cutting, and lifting.
- Use PPE: gloves, helmet, face shield, apron, safety shoes.
- Comply with site safety rules and fire safety protocols.

**10. Reporting and Coordination**
- Report work status to supervisors or site engineers.
- Collaborate with other fabricators, welders, and helpers.
- Keep track of materials used and fabrication progress.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

- MIG welding: 2 years (preferred)

- assembling Metal component: 3 years (required)
- Measuring and cutting: 3 years (required)
- Metal building erection: 2 years (required)
