**ROLE SUMMARY**

Briefly describe the main purpose of the role

The Internal Auditor promotes, develops, and manages the Company’s Internal Audit programme; conducting internal audits against the relevant Management System Standards and other certifications and assurance audits, but also ensure that the internal audit team conducts internal audits as per internal audit programme.

The Internal Auditor will drive continuous improvement throughout the organisation and will facilitate the creation, implementation, review and auditing and of all high-level business processes with the internal audit team.

**Audits**
- Agreeing the audit resources.
- Preparing the internal team.
- Conducting integrated internal audits to evaluate compliance with the GTT ISO standards and other

50% assurance audits relevant to the organisation; which can include SOC 1 & SOC 2, PCI DSS etc.
- Completing internal audit reports.
- Acting as a guide during the external audits.
- Preparing relevant teams for external audits.

**Continuous Improvement**
- Managing the Corrective Action Plan (CAL), ensuring improvement opportunities are added, obtaining updates from action owners and tracking the progress through to completion.
- Chair the Corrective Action Plan weekly meeting and updating the GRC tool accordingly.
- Facilitating, in conjunction with the internal audit team the completion of a root cause analysis for a non
- conformity to ensure the underlying issues is fully understood and appropriate actions are taken to resolve 50% the issue.
- Completing an effectiveness review after the implementation of the corrective action relating to a non
- conformity to verify the corrective action has successfully resolved the issue.
- Produce management reporting, analysing the data and identifying any trends in terms of findings with the Senior Manager, Audit & Compliance for submission to Senior Management.

- **Audits**: Support the company programme for all audits; to include planning, organising resources, completion of internal audits, acting as a guide during external audits to ensure that we continuously meet the needs of the customers and regulatory requirements.
- **Process Reviews**: Conducting reviews to ensure departmental processes are still effective in line with the ever-changing business requirements and recognising opportunities for overall improvement.
- **CAL**: Managing the Corrective Action Log and reducing the time taken to resolve non conformities.

**Experience**:Experience in a quality focused environment

A working knowledge of managing an ISO Management system (ISO 20000 & ISO 27001)

Experience of internal auditing
