For Sartorius Sedim India Pvt. Ltd, we are looking for the Safety officer to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation of all kinds of environmental, employee health and safety regulations and legislation (law, ISO 14000 etc.). The goal is to have all necessary policies in place and keep a high standard in all fields of environmental protection.

**What you will accomplish together with us**:

- Develop and implement policies and practices to identify / mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace and external environments
- Contribute to the development of the overall company health strategy
- Investigate accidents, environmental incidents and sources of risk for environmental problems and liaise with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents / risks and prevent their recurrence
- Provide advice and training on safety protocols and environmental protection and conduct audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to environmental and employee health and safety
- Implement policies and practices to identify / mitigate hazardous conditions with negative impact on the environment
- Organize activities and programmes in connection with the company health programme
- Keep close relationships with all internal stakeholders involved in company health programmes and environmental performance and engage with external stakeholders like health insurance, sports clubs / holders of sports facilities
- Control and track success of health activities and environmental engagement

**What will convince us**:

- Bachelor's Degree in environmental management / Health and / or Sports Management or economics
- 2-3 Years of relevant experience
- Deep understanding and know how on legal framework regarding environmental protection
- Works independently with general supervision
- Project management skills, ability to handle a high variety of different projects
- May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices
