Job Description: As a Cardiac Technology Tutor, your role is to provide instruction and guidance to individuals pursuing a career in the field of cardiac technology. Cardiac technology involves the use of advanced medical equipment and techniques to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases and conditions. Your primary responsibility is to educate and train students in the theoretical and practical aspects of cardiac technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Curriculum: Create and design a comprehensive curriculum for cardiac technology courses, covering topics such as electrocardiography (ECG), echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, stress testing, and other relevant diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Laboratory Instruction: Organize and supervise laboratory sessions to provide hands-on training in performing cardiac tests and procedures. Teach students how to operate and maintain cardiac monitoring equipment, interpret test results, and ensure accurate data collection.
Clinical Training: Coordinate and supervise clinical rotations for students, allowing them to gain practical experience in real healthcare settings. Monitor students' progress, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to established protocols and ethical standards.
Assess Student Performance: Develop assessment methods, such as exams, quizzes, and practical evaluations, to measure students' understanding and proficiency. Evaluate and grade assignments promptly, providing constructive feedback to support their learning and growth.
Stay Updated: Continuously update your knowledge and skills in cardiac technology by staying abreast of advancements, research, and best practices in the field. Incorporate the latest developments into the curriculum and share relevant information with students.
Mentorship and Guidance: Offer guidance and mentorship to students, assisting them in their professional development and career planning. Provide advice on job opportunities, professional organizations, and certification requirements in cardiac technology.
Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks related to course management, such as maintaining student records, monitoring attendance, and participating in faculty meetings. Collaborate with other instructors and faculty members to enhance the educational experience and ensure program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as cardiovascular technology, cardiac sonography, or a related healthcare discipline.
- Professional certification as a cardiac technologist, such as Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), is preferred.
- Proven experience in the field of cardiac technology, including clinical practice, research, or teaching.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
- Familiarity with diagnostic procedures and technologies used in cardiac testing, such as ECG machines, echocardiography equipment, and cardiac catheters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex concepts and engage students.
- Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Proficiency in educational technology tools and resources for delivering online instruction, if applicable.
**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
