**Economics Teacher

**Purpose of Role**:
Teach and guide students in a wide range of economics topics as required by Cambridge programmes for grades 9 to 12.
**Economics Teacher Key Responsibilities**:
Actively teach students, create lesson plans, assign and correct tests, assignments and homework, manage students in the classroom, communicate with parents, help students prepare for standardised testing, attend weekly staff meetings, work with individual students to motivate their abilities and support them to overcome their challenges.
**Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:
- Should have Master’s in Economics with good conceptual and working knowledge
- Must have 3 to 8 years of teaching experience in Cambridge/IBDP programme
- Should have good communication skills to teach
- Should be abreast of developments in the field by reading current trends in the field of Economics and participating in professional conferences/training
- Has passion for teaching and guiding students to learn
- Willing to learn and to participate in the school community
- Bachelor’s degree in education to teach CBSE curriculum
- Willing to put in the effort as required by the school /university guidelines
- Ability to engage the class and create a learning environment
