In the Sales and Use Tax Associate role, you will be responsible for the following:

- Provide excellent client service to multi-state companies with state and local tax issues including compliance, advisory services, and planning
- Ability to integrate with clients and the overall tax team to prepare sales and use returns and reconciliation file
- Assist in planning and coordinating the flow of information with the RSM US team and the client team
- Communicate with the US based team regarding any issues and concerns with respect to compliance
- Research, resolve and respond to tax notices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or closely related field from an accredited college or university (preferably B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance)
- CPA, EA is an added advantage
- 2+ years of US state and local sales tax experience in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department
- Possess thorough knowledge of a variety of state and local sales and use tax laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Organized, adaptable and flexible
- Team oriented, group contributor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple engagements.
- US tax compliance experience/background required, Vertex Returns experience is an added advantage
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
