Maharaj - Gujarati/marwadi Cuisine

**Job Summary**:
The Maharaj needs to be a specialized chef with expertise in traditional **Gujarati and Marwadi cuisine**, responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting authentic vegetarian dishes. This role demands a deep understanding of regional flavors, cooking methods, and cultural significance, ensuring that guests experience the richness of traditional Indian hospitality and taste.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook traditional Gujarati and Marwadi dishes, including thalis, farsan, sweets, and festive specialties.
- Maintain authentic taste, traditional presentation, and portion control.
- Plan daily and special menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences.
- Ensure high standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Oversee kitchen operations related to Gujarati/Marwadi section and assist kitchen staff as needed.
- Monitor inventory of spices, lentils, and region-specific ingredients; coordinate timely procurement.
- Maintain consistency in recipes and taste across all dishes.
- Train junior chefs or helpers on traditional cooking techniques.
- Prepare food for events, poojas, and large gatherings when required.
- Collaborate with the head chef for menu design and customer feedback improvement.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Maharaj or regional Indian cuisine chef.
- **Specialization**: Deep knowledge of traditional Gujarati and Marwadi dishes, including sattvic or Jain variations.
- **Skills**:

- Expertise in Indian spices and vegetarian cooking
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to cook for both daily service and large-scale events
- Understanding of religious and cultural dietary practices (e.g., fasting foods, Jain cuisine)
- **Attitude**: Punctual, disciplined, and respectful of traditional values.
