**Position description**:

- Investigate and resolve reconciliation exceptions sourced to Cash Investigation team
- Escalation of high value and aged items to Management
- Timely and accurate input of cash items to Aladdin advised by the business

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- As a member of the Cash Investigation & Input team you will be responsible for the review and resolution of all reconciliation exceptions sourced to Cash Investigation - including items such fees, interest, custodian FX.
- You will work closely with both internal partners (including, but not restricted to, Portfolio Management, Public & Private Operations) and relevant external parties (including Global Custodians and counterparties) to ensure timely and accurate a) resolution of reconciliation exceptions and b) cash input to Aladdin.
- You will follow the processes and controls set out by team management.

Once fully trained, you will demonstrate credibility with a proven competency and knowledge of the related operational activities, as well as drive efficiency and accuracy to reduce risk in our processes.

**Goals**:

- Accurate and timely transaction processing of cash input to Aladdin, ensuring tasks are prioritized accordingly to meet processing deadlines.
- Ensuring that cash reconciliation exceptions are resolved on a timely basis, and that high value items are escalated to Management as appropriate.
- Work closely with business partners to provide daily operational support relating to cash exceptions and input.
- Identify risk issues and use good judgement in communicating issues and escalating matters to your team leader.
- Develop strong relationships with the HK, UK and US teams and other relevant 3rd parties e.g. Custodians, to ensure smooth workflows and enhance the output of the team.
- Actively ensure upward and downward communication of developments and issues

**Knowledge, skills and abilities**:
**Mandatory**
- Good understanding of cash processing.
- Basic understanding of different types of FX and the related trade processing is an added advantage
- Good understanding of operational risks and controls
- Experience with Aladdin desirable.
- Analytical ability to evaluate the root causes of the problems
- Able to manage heavy workload, understand urgency, multitask and prioritise to meet deadlines
- Strong teamwork ethic whilst also having the ability to function with some direction from your team leader, challenge yourself to learn new things and continually improve
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal particularly when escalating issues to the APAC / EMEA and US teams.

**Education and experience**:

- Any graduation/post-graduation.
- 2+ years’ experience in financial services
- Recent experience of Reconciliations and Trade Input
- Recent and relevant experience in Trade Operations

Support Hours:
08:00 - 17:00 UK /

09:00 - 18:00 HK

Will require coverage for all Global APAC / EMEA / US working days.
