Job Purpose - Purpose is to closely monitoring, analyse including corrective action to control transit, storage and handling losses of our Product stored at own and hired Depots and contribute in improving overall profitability of the Organisation.

**1**

**Transit Losses -Ocean losses**:Monitoring, analysis and corrective action for minimizing transit losses

Authority : Can advise Location to stop discharge and gauge the tanks in case of abnormal variation in hourly quantities
- Monitor and analyse coastal vessel Port wise loss / gain performance.
- To ensure timely corrective actions if ocean losses are higher
- Ensuring ullaging and emptiness of Vessel Tanks is checked properly. In case of abnormal variation rechecks are done. Ensuring quality checks are performed as per SOP at unloading locations and any abnormal variation during discharge is properly investigated.Ensuring required diligence is done along with Surveyor for shore OTR finalization at Coastal locations- Initiation on insurance claim as per Policy

Transit Losses -Road and Rake receipts: Monitoring, analysis and corrective action for minimizing transit losses

Authority: Can advise location to hold receipt of TT in case of suspicious fittings/abnormal variation till investigation is completed
- Monitor and analyse receipts by Rakes and Road Tankers
- Ensuring emptiness of Wagons/TT is checked properly
- Follow up on shortage claims with Railways
- Booking of correct shortage in POD in case of TT
- Coordinating with Locations for proper fittings and sealing at loading locations and checks at receipt locations before unloading
- Ensuring dips are taken with due care and quantity as per the valid calibration
- Due diligence of TT dip rod ,calibration chart as well as fittings

Storage Loss _ Own Depot : To monitor day to day loss gain performance and advise corrective action

Authority: To advise Location to suspend Tank operation in case abnormal variation in quantity is observed till the time investigation is done.
- Day to Day monitoring and analysis of own depot loss / gain performance and taking measures to control the same as per agreed KPI.
- Ensuring monitoring and checks by Depots during road despatches as well as receipts.
- To ensure timely corrective actions if own depot losses are higher
- Coordinating with Locations to avoid tank dormancy and defloating of IFR/FR tanks
- Ensuring day to day gauging is carried out as per SOP and gauge book is maintained properly.
- Tank behaviour analysis and if required recalibration is done

**4**

Storage Loss _Hired depot losses: To monitor day to day loss gain performance and advise corrective action
- Monitor and analyse hired depot loss / gain performance
- To ensure timely corrective actions if hired depot losses are higher as per agreement terms
- Studying Tanks behaviours to ascertain and arrive at Storage Tanks behaviour pattern
- Ensuring day to day gauging is carried out as per SOP and gauge book is maintained properly.
- Initiating recovery from Service provider in case of losses beyond agreed percentage.

- Tankage Requirement and Agreements- Initiating process renewal/augmentation of tankage/additional location through procurement
- Third party terminal Bills processing basis the loss/gain permissible limit as per Agreement
- Drafting of Agreement/Addendum and getting vetted from the concerned stakeholders and concluding with the Vendor

- Coordination and MIS- Timely action/coordination to improve hired location performance in terms of loss / gain
- Monthly MIS on stock loss and transit losses to Management
- Publishing tankage utilization report
- Crosschecking of Material Balancing report/Physical verification reports for any abnormality with system stocks and initiating corrective action
- **SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- **Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
Engineering Graduate
- **Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience:
Minimum Eight years with four years of functional experience in Oil

Industry
- **Functional Skills**:

- Thorough knowledge of stocks accounting
- SAP SD and MM module
- Understanding of differ type of losses and its control
