**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Lesson Planning and Delivery**:

- Design and deliver well-structured lessons that align with the school’s English curriculum and educational standards.
- Teach a range of language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Integrate a variety of teaching techniques, such as discussions, interactive activities, storytelling, and multimedia, to meet diverse learning needs.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment that supports effective learning.
- Implement classroom rules and procedures to ensure a disciplined and constructive atmosphere.
- Encourage active participation, teamwork, and respect for diverse perspectives among students.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Develop and administer assessments, quizzes, and writing assignments to evaluate students’ progress and understanding.
- Provide constructive feedback on student work and help students improve their reading and writing skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and report on progress to students, parents, and school administration as needed.
- **Encouraging Language Development**:

- Support students in developing strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Promote an appreciation for literature by teaching literary analysis, critical thinking, and comprehension skills through various texts.
- Encourage students to read widely, participate in discussions, and express their thoughts confidently.
- **Student Engagement and Support**:

- Identify students’ unique learning needs and provide additional support to those who require help in developing language proficiency.
- Motivate students to participate in extracurricular activities related to English, such as debates, drama, creative writing, and reading clubs.
- Offer support and mentorship to help students achieve academic and personal growth.
- **Professional Development and Collaboration**:

- Attend departmental meetings, workshops, and professional development programs to stay current with teaching methodologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, develop curriculum plans, and ensure consistency in teaching standards.
- Participate in school events, open houses, and parent-teacher meetings to foster a strong community relationship.
