- Help drive and improve MassMutual’s Cyber Security posture to limit exposure to risks and areas of exploitation

**What your days and weeks will include.**
- Mitigate potential threats of data compromise through the deployment and engineering support of tools for
- Implement and support Network Security Infrastructure (including installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, and maintenance & monitoring), both on-prem and in the cloud
- Utilizing automation to enhance and facilitate automatic risk mitigation and provide agility across the security space
- Responsible for reviewing current and future protection technologies, while working with our internal customers to enhance the protection and detection capabilities of those tools
- Engineering, implementing and monitoring security measures for the protection of computer systems, and information
- Assist the triage of potential incidents and/or breaches to the MassMutual network and systems
- Take a role in conducting security research on threats and remediation techniques/ technology, make recommendations
- Assist and support remediation activities stemming from security event analysis, vulnerability management and intrusion detection
- Support MassMutual’s operational information security responsibilities, including the development maintenance of standards, procedures, and baselines necessary to meet security requirements
- Help in educating the workforce on information security through training and building awareness.

**The skills that make you a great fit.**
- Bachelor Degree in information technology or associated discipline, preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Firewall and Network Security Engineering disciplines
- Hands on experience with Network Security Engineering tools from an administrative perspective, implementing, upgrading, designing solutions, etc.
- Foundational knowledge of security mechanisms in operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, Linux
- Possess scripting language skills using MS PowerShell, Python, etc.,
- Knowledge and experience with Network Security, Firewall, Network Access Control, Proxy, SSL Visibility
- Utilize technologies such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Intrusion Detection & Prevention, preferred
- Good understanding of standards and controls requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to problem solve with little to no supervision
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
