**Job Summary**:
A nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients across various settings. They work closely with doctors, other healthcare professionals, and families to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Nurses monitor patient health, administer medications, educate patients and families about health conditions, and help to coordinate care.
**Core Responsibilities**:
- **Patient Assessment and Monitoring**:
- Conduct thorough physical exams to assess patient health.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.).
- Identify changes in a patient’s condition and report findings to physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting symptoms, treatments, and progress.
- **Administering Medications and Treatments**:
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments (oral, intravenous, injections, etc.).
- Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
- Assist with therapeutic procedures like wound care, blood transfusions, and more.
- **Developing and Implementing Care Plans**:
- Work with the healthcare team to create individualized care plans.
- Implement and adjust care plans based on patient needs and condition.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and self-care strategies.
- **Patient Education**:
- Provide information to patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries.
- Teach about proper medication administration, nutrition, and post-hospital care.
- Educate on preventive healthcare practices such as vaccinations, screenings, etc.
- **Coordinating with Healthcare Teams**:
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other medical staff to provide coordinated care.
- Communicate with specialists regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
- Assist in the development of discharge plans and post-care arrangements.
- **Assisting with Diagnostic Tests and Medical Procedures**:
- Prepare patients for and assist during diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRIs, etc.).
- Assist in medical procedures like surgeries, catheterizations, or biopsies.
- Collect samples (blood, urine, tissue) for lab analysis.
- **Crisis and Emergency Management**:
- Respond quickly to emergencies like cardiac arrest, trauma, or severe allergic reactions.
- Perform first aid, CPR, or other lifesaving interventions as necessary.
- Ensure patient safety by addressing hazards or rapidly changing conditions.
- **Emotional and Psychological Support**:
- Provide emotional support to patients and families dealing with health issues.
- Help patients cope with chronic conditions, terminal diagnoses, or end-of-life care.
- Offer counseling or refer patients to mental health services if needed.
- **Maintaining Professional and Ethical Standards**:
- Follow ethical guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Stay up-to-date with nursing best practices and continuing education.
- Adhere to hospital policies, legal regulations, and safety protocols.
- **Supervision and Training**:
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), or other support staff.
- Mentor and train new nurses or nursing students.
- Ensure all staff adhere to proper protocols for patient care.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Educational Requirements**: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN); advanced roles (Nurse Practitioners) require a Master’s degree or Doctorate.
- **Licensure**: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or state-specific licensing (e.g., LPN, NP).
- **Key Skills**: Clinical competence, attention to detail, empathy, communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, multitasking, teamwork.
- **Certifications**: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are often required.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
