This is a key role in the ePS Business Intelligence Team that spans the complete BI function from data sourcing to successful report delivery. The position covers architecture, development, support and enhancements in the following areas: Data transformation and load (ETL) from multiple source systems, maintenance of data models on Data Warehouse and Cognos environments, administration and support of IBM Cognos environment, financial reporting support and enhancements of SAP BPC environment. You will closely partner with the key business users to establish strong business systems alignment in multiple functional areas (e.g. sales, marketing, customer service and support, manufacturing, finance).

You will work with business users and functional analysts across the globe and should feel completely comfortable working in a virtual team environment. You should have strong written, verbal and presentation skills that enable you to clearly communicate objectives, roles, responsibilities, and processes. Experience with both technical documentation and end-user documentation with a keen eye on detail is needed.

In this role, you will be working primarily as a business data architect, designing and developing solutions with our BI toolset IBM Cognos Data Manager, Framework Manager, and Transformer, SAP BODS (ETL), SAP BPC. You should recognize your ultimate focus is to achieve stable and predictable business results, and you will leverage appropriate technology to do so.

You will collaborate with the entire IT team and influence overall business and technology strategy with your unique understanding of master data, product, customers, business processes, and our delivery capabilities.

You must possess strong development experience and have worked in sizeable corporations supporting enterprise-wide business intelligence requirements. - Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of BI data marts to ensure they are synchronized, complete and accurate to meet internal reporting needs.
- Plan and help execute the extraction and translation of enterprise data from transactional systems to reporting repositories and BI data marts.
- Design and construct data models required to represent business view of data. Ensure proper alignment of logical data models with user requirements.
- Develop logical data models showing how data are shared and synchronized between various transactional and informational systems.
- Work with IS&T Database Administrators and Systems Analysts to ensure that the physical model will meet availability, consistency, and quality objectives
- Be an active participant in strategy level conversations by sharing your input, experience and proposing solutions aligned with business objectives
- Document manage and enhance data flows dependencies and performance to populate DW, BPC and downstream systems.
- Assist business in identification of master data issues and provide input on appropriate action to maintain data quality
- Create reports, dashboards, and assist end users with ad-hoc query development
- Develop and execute data validation and test plans for BI system implementations
- Focus on data integrity, data quality, and exception handling process

**Job Requirements**:

- BA or BS or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years experience with IBM Cognos tools, Data Manager, Framework Manager, Transformer
- 2+ years experience with SAP BPC
- 4+ years of direct hands on experience developing, testing, deploying, enhancing and fine tuning ETL jobs using SAP BODS, or other modern ETL tool such as (Microsoft SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica PowerCenter, IBM DataStage).
- Extensive experience with enterprise databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or other.
