Application Architect

**Team Purpose**
This is a prestigious position in the Cloud organization within Getronics. The business unit is responsible to maintain and provide excellent cloud services to customers. The cloud organization works on bid management, pre-sales, solution, service architecting, and support/execution of complex engagements.

**Role Purpose**
The Application Architect is a senior person responsible to own end-to-end technical discussions with Customers. Responsible for ensuring the best architecture and solutions are provided to the customer on behalf of Getronics. Responsible to build the latest technology presentations and solutions within the Public Cloud services. This role will also be the technical POC for the Public Cloud Delivery team and help them design and develop solutions that meet the needs of the customer. This role will be also responsible for supporting the execution phase of existing or new customers.

**Responsibilities/Accountabilities**
**Solution Design**:
Drive technical discussions across Advisory, Migration, and AMS lifecycle and explain Getronics solutions and product options to meet customer needs
Provide solutions of RFPs received from clients and ensure overall design assurance
Creating Intellectual Property in the forms of services, patterns, models and organizational approaches
Ensure system capabilities are consumed by system components and set criteria for evaluating technical and business value
Perform design and code reviews thoroughly on a regular basis, keeping in mind the security measures
Understanding design and production procedures and standards to create prototypes and finished products
Offer viable solutions for various systems and architectures to different types of businesses
Seamless integration of new and existing systems to eliminate potential problems and maintain data structure and bring value in terms of development
**Delivery / Execution**:
Collaborate with enterprise architect for translating business strategy to execution
Develops and establishes relevant technical, business processand overall support metrics (KPI/SLA) to drive results
Creates an enterprise-wide architecture that ensures systems are scalable, reliable, and manageable.
Ensure quality assurance of all the architecture or design decisions and provides technical mitigation support to the delivery teams
Recommend tools for reuse, automation for improved productivity and reduced cycle times
Cloud Transformation: (Migration)
- Understanding non-functional requirements
- Producing artifacts such as deployment architecture, interface catalog
- Identify internal and external dependency, vendor, and internal IT Management
- Support build and testing team
Cloud Transformation: (Modernization)
- Understanding and Defining target architecture in Integration space
- Assessing project pipeline/demand and aligning to target architecture
- Technical support of the delivery team in terms and POC and technical guidance
- Keep Up-to-date with the latest technologies in the market
**Required Technical Skills and Experience**
Must have 10+ years of working experience in Application Development
The overall experience of at least 15 years in various technical roles including COE and Cloud Solution Design
Passionate about new technology, capable of picking up new program language and new tools with ease and motivated to acquire new skills
Should have a very good understanding of Cloud Native services
Very strong in Java, Spring & Spring Boot
Strong in Restful service development
Experience working in Sql & NoSQL DB like Cosmos & Mongo DB
Experience working in Maven or Gradle
Experience working in continuous integration tools like Bamboo or Azure DevOps
Strong understanding of reusable object-oriented software design patterns.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a clear and articulate standard of written and verbal communication in complex environments
Ability to manage own workload and Self Directed
Well-experienced in Agile SCRUM methodologies
Familiar with technical architect modeling language and tools such as UML and EA
Experience working in Java Script technology like Angular or React etc.
Experienced in working with a diverse multi-locational team of internal and external professionals
Exposure to the latest design methodologies such as DDD (Domain Driven Design) and hands-on working experience with distributed computing systems using event sourcing, and asynchronous messaging as a communication channel is a big plus.
Experience working in a Cloud environment such as Azure or AWS.
Proven ability to construct and deliver compelling presentations and propositions to C-level and large audiences
Extensive, broad-based expertise across large-scale Cloud design/deploy/migration engagements
Must possess a business-level understanding of enterprise systems to drive innovations and transformations
