**Job Summary**

We are looking for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Coder to join our healthcare team. The Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing and coding medical records to ensure accurate and compliant billing and documentation. This role is crucial in translating healthcare services into standardized codes for insurance reimbursement, data collection, and compliance purposes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Medical Coding**:

- Review and analyze medical records, including physician notes, lab results, and patient histories.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services provided based on established coding guidelines.
- Ensure accurate coding for claims submission and compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.
- **Documentation Review**:

- Verify that documentation supports the codes assigned and that all necessary information is included.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies or obtain additional information as needed.
- **Claims Management**:

- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and government programs.
- Monitor and follow up on claims to ensure timely payment and resolve any issues related to coding and billing.
- **Compliance and Quality Assurance**:

- Stay current with updates and changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and payer policies.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- **Reporting**:

- Generate and review coding reports to track coding accuracy, productivity, and financial performance.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements based on coding audits and data analysis.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with healthcare providers, billing departments, and insurance companies to resolve coding and billing issues.
- Participate in training and educational sessions to stay informed about coding practices and healthcare regulations.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field is preferred.
- **Certifications**:

- Certification from a recognized coding organization such as the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) is preferred (e.g., CPC, CCS).
- **Experience**:

- Prior experience in medical coding is a plus but not required for entry-level roles. Internships or coursework related to medical coding are beneficial.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
- **Other Requirements**:

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pay: ₹10,370.40 - ₹48,444.37 per month
