**Job description**

**Job Summary**:
The **MYP Coordinator** is a key leadership role responsible for the successful implementation and ongoing development of the **IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)**. The coordinator acts as a pedagogical leader, guiding staff in best practices of teaching and learning aligned with IB philosophy, maintaining compliance with IB standards, and fostering a collaborative, inquiry-driven learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Programme Leadership**:

- Oversee the planning, development, and delivery of the MYP curriculum.
- Ensure alignment of the schools curriculum with IB MYP philosophy and standards.
- Guide and support staff in integrating interdisciplinary learning and the IB Learner Profile.

**IB Liaison & Compliance**:

- Serve as the primary contact between the school and the IB Organization.
- Ensure compliance with all MYP requirements, including curriculum documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Organize and manage the MYP authorization and evaluation process.

**Teacher Support & Professional Development**:

- Provide ongoing support, mentoring, and training for MYP teachers.
- Plan and lead internal professional development aligned with IB expectations.

**Assessment & Reporting**:

- Oversee implementation of MYP assessment strategies and ensure consistency with IB practices.
- Support teachers in designing effective formative and summative assessments.
- Monitor student progress and coordinate reporting processes.

**Curriculum Documentation**:
**Community Engagement**:

- Promote awareness and understanding of the MYP among students, parents, and the wider school community.
- Organize parent workshops and events to build community engagement with the IB programme.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Minimum 3+ years of teaching experience in an IB MYP school
- Prior experience in a leadership or coordinator role within the IB framework
- In-depth knowledge of the IB MYP framework, philosophy, and assessment model
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
