**Architect - React**

The Architect - React role will be responsible for defining, building, and delivering technical solutions for the
Hudson’s Bay Digital Technology team. They will maintain the long-term technical vision alongside the day-to-day
execution of new features on the Hudson’s Bay eCommerce site. This individual will help lead a team to design,
develop, and manage our E-commerce Website which is critical to our omnichannel strategy. The position will be
responsible for helping to set technology strategy and direction, make decisions on the technology used, and
work closely with product management teams and business leaders to develop corresponding roadmaps.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work alongside engineering, product, design, and business counterparts to understand requirements and collaborate on technical solutions
- Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architectures and designs
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software that is highly scalable and supports defined business requirements
- Code Reviews and developing team-wide development standards and practices
- Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent software-engineering skills.
- Creative engineering balanced with high quality and a customer focus.
- Must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions.

**REQUIREMENTS**

? Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field.
? 12+ years of IT experience.
? 8+ years of relevant work experience as an architect, web developer, UI developer, JavaScript expert, and React expert
? Expert in React JavaScript frameworks
? Expert in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
? Expert in UI layouts, SASS, Bootstrap, and the CSS GRID system
? Experience debugging using JavaScript-based tools like Chrome Developer Console
? Understanding of key design principles.
? Understanding of server-side CSS.
? Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
? Understanding of SEO principles.
? Passionate to create good design and usability
? Good problem-solving skills.
? Excellent verbal communication skills.
? Good interpersonal skills.
? A team player with excellent communication skills
? Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures
? Accomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed
? Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
