Profile - Lab Technician-Biochemistry

Experience: 3-5+ years of relevant experience

E.Q.: MLT or DMLT

Job Location: Bangalore

Languages: English, Hindi & Kannada

**Job Description**:

- Handling and maintenance of the instruments such at Biochemistry analyser, Haematology analyser, Immunology analyser, Urine analyser,

Organizes work by matching computer orders with specimen labelling, sorting specimens, and checking specimens’ delivery.

Collecting, receiving, labeling, and/or analyzing samples or substances using the correct testing equipment, when necessary.

Designing and executing laboratory testing in line with standard testing procedures, recording observations, and interpreting findings.

Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies

Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance.

Serve as a technical resource by participating in staff training.

Identify and communicate abnormal patient conditions by alerting supervisory personnel.

Identify the presence or quantity of drugs in the patient’s system.

Provide test results for patient diagnosis and treatment by operating diagnostic equipment.

Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility

Ensure the patient of receiving compatible blood by completing blood typing, antibody screening, and compatibility testing.

Contribute to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.

Maintain patient confidence by keeping laboratory information confidential.

Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment

Experience in facing audits such as NABL is preferred

Skill Set:
Proven experience working as a lab technician.

Working experience operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment.

Comfortable handling potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, biohazards, etc.)

In depth knowledge of QHSE management systems, preventative measures, and laboratory best practices.

Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.

Ability to utilize, calibrate, configure and/or troubleshoot laboratory testing systems and instruments.

Ability to isolate and identify specimens using advanced laboratory techniques and equipment.

Knowledge of sterile procedures.
