Currently, we are bidding for UrbanPlanning projects across India. The position of Transport Planner is the key position in these BIDs.

MISSIONS/MAIN DUTIES

**Develop a Multi-Modal Transport Network**: Plan integrated transport systems, including roads, metro, bus rapid transit (BRT), rail, cycling, and pedestrian pathways

**Optimize Road Network Design**: Improve road layouts, intersections, and expressways for smooth traffic flow.
- Design hubs where different modes of transport (metro, bus, rail, taxis, etc.) connect seamlessly.
- Identify and plan new metro lines, bus corridors, and high-frequency transit services based on population growth and demand.
- Study existing and projected vehicle movement to reduce congestion and improve efficiency.
- Implement intelligent transport systems (ITS), adaptive traffic signals, and digital traffic monitoring.
- Design pedestrian-friendly streets, cycling lanes, and shared mobility solutions.
- Plan parking spaces, park-and-ride systems, and micro-mobility (e-scooters, shared bicycles) options.
- Promote public transport, electric vehicles (EVs), and sustainable mobility solutions.
- Design low-emission zones, green corridors, and encourage transit-oriented development (TOD).
- Develop flood-proof roads, elevated metro lines, and heat-resistant transport facilities.

**Use GIS and Spatial Data**: Map travel patterns, land use, and transport demand for effective decision-making.
- Conduct data-driven assessments of travel behavior and accessibility.

PROFILE/SKILLS
- Post Graduate in Transport Planning from a recognized Institute/ University with 10 years of experience.
- Experience in preparation of transport plans, city circulation plans, mobility plans, etc. and conducting traffic and transport surveys.
- At least 2 completed projects in Sikkim/Hilly/North Easten States
