Medical Superintendent

KIDS Hospital seeks to hire a Medical Superintendent with the following description:
Role:

- Manage the overall administrative work in patient care areas of the hospital for necessary corrective and preventive action for day to day issues
- Supervise documentation as per quality standards in all departments, for e.g., medico-legal records, consent form, initial assessment of patient by doctors and nursing staff, dietary screening, O.T. notes, complete discharge summary, accident/incident reports, etc.
- To carry out daily overall hospital rounds along with patient side rounds.
- Manage the job responsibilities and duties of medical and paramedical staff (doctors, nurses, and attendants) as their reporting manager.
- Establish and convene various committees as per NABH guidelines such as Medical Audit Committee, CPR committee, Adverse Events Committee, HIC Committee, Fire and Non-Fire Safety Committee, etc.
- Bring about cost consciousness and implement cost control so as to ensure planned profitability without effecting quality of service and care to patients.
- Monitor staff efficiency and quality of delivery through a performance management programme, and assist the HR in selection of medical and non-medical staff.
- Responsible for all staff policy formulation in consultation with the hospital management.
- Develop a training calendar for the staff to stay up to date on current medical knowledge.
- Plan for alternate allocation of shift duties when medical staff are on leave.
- Conduct appraisals of staff against standards to ascertain performance levels, training and development needs, and reward and recognition.
- Clear focus on improving quality of services and processes for better patient satisfaction.
- Implementing new customer service initiatives to match best service standards and developing an MIS on customer satisfaction for hospital management to review.
- Main point of contact for patient relations and for statutory and government authorities, especially for legal compliance.
- Conduct weekly operational audits to ensure high standards are being met by all medical departments, and take appropriate action.

**Salary**: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (required)

- Superintendent: 2 years (preferred)
