As a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you'll be responsible for providing high-quality, 24/7 medical care to critically ill newborns, collaborating with specialists, and ensuring accurate documentation and effective communication with families. Here's a more detailed breakdown of the responsibilities:Patient Care and Management:

- **Provide comprehensive medical care**:This includes conducting initial assessments, monitoring vital signs, and administering appropriate medical treatments.
- **Implement and modify treatment plans**:Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans for critically ill newborns.
- **Perform procedures**:May include central line insertions, arterial line insertions, and endotracheal intubations, as needed.
- **Respond to emergencies**:Provide prompt and effective resuscitation and life-saving interventions in emergency situations.
- **Monitor patient progress**:Closely track patient conditions and interpret diagnostic tests to ensure optimal care.

Collaboration and Communication:

- **Work with multidisciplinary teams**: Collaborate effectively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- **Communicate effectively with families**: Provide clear and compassionate information to families about their child's condition and treatment plan.
- **Maintain accurate records**: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records and progress.

Other Responsibilities:

- **Participate in rounds**: Conduct routine rounds and monitor patients' conditions closely.
- **Stay abreast of medical advancements**: Continuously learn and update your knowledge of neonatal care and medical advancements.
- **Adhere to ethical guidelines and protocols**: Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
