Handicrafts Merchandiser" is responsible for sourcing, managing, and promoting handcrafted goods by identifying market trends, working directly with artisan producers, negotiating prices, ensuring quality standards, and coordinating the sales and distribution of handcrafted items to retail outlets or online platforms, often with a focus on maintaining the authenticity and cultural value of the products. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identify and establish relationships with skilled artisans and handicraft producers across different regions. Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers to ensure profitability. Conduct quality checks on handcrafted items to maintain consistent standards. Monitor production timelines and ensure timely delivery of goods. Market Analysis and Trend Identification: Research current market trends in the handicraft industry to identify potential products and target demographics. Analyze sales data to understand customer preferences and adjust product offerings accordingly. Stay updated on emerging trends in design, materials, and cultural aesthetics. Product Development and Design: Collaborate with artisans to develop new product lines, incorporating market feedback and design innovations. Ensure the preservation of traditional techniques while adapting designs to meet contemporary market demands. Oversee product packaging and branding to enhance market appeal. Sales and Marketing: Develop sales strategies to promote handcrafted items to retail partners, online platforms, and wholesale buyers. Create compelling product presentations and marketing materials highlighting the story and craftsmanship behind each item. Participate in trade shows and exhibitions to showcase the handicraft collection and generate new business leads. Logistics and Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock availability while minimizing overstocking. Coordinate shipping and logistics to deliver products to customers on time. Monitor and address any quality control issues during the shipping process. Required Skills: Deep understanding of handicrafts: Extensive knowledge of traditional handicraft techniques, materials, and cultural significance. Business Acumen: Strong analytical skills, ability to negotiate pricing, and understand market dynamics. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication to interact with artisans, retailers, and customers. Design Sense: Awareness of current design trends and ability to identify aesthetically pleasing products. Project Management: Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
