**Key Responsibilities**:
1) Be prompt on reporting any safety/security concerns to the DPA/CSO

2) Carry out my jobs as DPA/CSO promptly and pro-actively.

3) Co-ordinate and ensure that the Internal ISM/ISPS/MLC audits are done well within the time frame

4) Ensure there are no overdue External ISM/ISPS/MLC Audits and get them completed before time.

5) Provide support to vessels pertaining to weather warnings, port information, security information

and cargo information.

6) Assist master in understanding the requirements if any under the Charter Party and necessary

reporting as stated in CP.

7) Guide Master on any navigation practices and procedures on board to ensure highest navigation

standards are maintained.

8) Track the route of vessel transiting the special areas as defined in navigation manual and suitably

guided if necessary.

9) Ensure that the Q88, Baltic99 are kept up to date, if needed by owners.

10) Review cargo / ballast/stowage plans sent by the vessel & provide necessary inputs if necessary.

11) Monitors the position of vessels, identify any areas of potential trouble and advise vessel.

12) Review the Safety Committee Meeting Reports, Incident Reports, LARP Cards and Inspection /

audit reports of the assigned vessels.

13) Review the risk assessments for any Level 2 RA’s, Deviations and Dispensations from the vessels

and provide feedback to vessels for further improvement.

14) Participate and provide inputs to company’s Management for improvement in the SMS, Forms

and checklists by raising DCR’s and informing senior management.

15) Work towards keeping own knowledge updated with respect to legislative requirements, codes of

practice and quality standards.

16) Review Hot Work Permits & give necessary inputs to Technical supdt to add on for the approval.

17) Identify and initiate any MOC process as required.

18) Assist vessel in closing all NC’s/Obs, PSC/FSI findings and Rightship Observations.

19) Conduct investigation and follow up of any incidents or emergencies as assigned.

20) Review the corrective action plan for any third-party observations and shall forward the

corrective actions to the concerned parties for further action.

21) Closely coordinate with CMS team to circulate the lessons learnt to all vessels when necessary.

22) Carry out appraisal of master and chief engineer of my vessel.

23) Co-ordinate and assist the vessel, owners, class, flag/port/coastal states, families, etc. in case of any contingencies that arise onboard.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Seagoing: 3 years (preferred)
- As Master: 3 years (preferred)
- As Chief Engineer: 3 years (preferred)
- shore: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- MEO Class I COC? (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
