Cylindrical Grinder

**Job Purpose**:
To operate cylindrical grinding machines for machining mould base components, ensuring accuracy in dimensions, roundness, and surface finish according to drawing specifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Machine Operation**:

- Set up and operate **cylindrical grinding machines** (internal & external grinding).
- Adjust machine settings and grinding parameters to achieve desired dimensions and finish.
- Select appropriate grinding wheels and dress them as needed.

**Job Setup & Execution**:

- Align and secure workpieces on the machine.
- Perform grinding of shafts, pillars, bushes, pins, and other round components used in mould bases.
- Ensure proper **concentricity, roundness, and parallelism**.

**Measurement & Inspection**:

- Use precision measuring instruments such as **Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Dial Gauges**, and **Vernier Calipers** to verify work accuracy.
- Maintain tolerance as per drawing specifications.

**Machine Maintenance**:

- Perform **routine maintenance and cleaning** of the grinding machines.
- Monitor grinding wheel wear and replace as necessary.

**Safety & Quality Compliance**:

- Follow all **safety protocols and operational procedures**.
- Ensure products meet **quality standards** and prevent rework/rejections.

**Key Instruments & Tools Knowledge**:

- External & Internal Micrometers
- Bore Gauges
- Dial Indicators
- Vernier Calipers
- Surface Finish Comparators

**Key Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of **cylindrical grinding processes**.
- Ability to read and interpret **engineering drawings** and maintain **tight tolerances**.
- Skilled in handling precision measuring instruments.
- Attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Basic troubleshooting skills of grinding machine operations.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Machinist Grinder trade.
- 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in **cylindrical grinding operations**, preferably in mould base manufacturing.
- Familiarity with other grinding processes like **surface grinding** is an added advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
