Duties and responsibilities

Design realization

Perform a technical study for the project scope and prepare piping design drawings and piping MTOs,

primarily within one’s own discipline, in consultation with discipline lead engineer involved, in accordance

with legislation and regulations, technical guidelines, the program of requirements and the MEC Quality

System in order to contribute to the tender and the realization of the project design (or parts thereof). The

detailed principal accountabilities are as below,
- To understand the requirements of, the office quality systems and meticulously ensure that these

requirements are met
- Shall be responsible and accountable to ensure full compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO

29001:2020, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 international standard requirements
- To plan workload and type of work for other team members efficiently and ensure timely

completion of the job.
- Conduct necessary site visit inclusive of walk downs of current systems, locate tie-ins, verify and

conclude the drawings as per site conditions.
- To produce presentable and accurate drawings/MTO, including a self-check.
- Display a working knowledge of industry standard drafting practices, good mechanical aptitude and

general knowledge of engineering.
- Assist in the design and layout activities on projects under the direction of Piping engineer
- Use ACAD / PDMS in all aspects of the design and layout.
- To be aware of, and check, the interface between his own discipline and other disciplines at all

stages of the design.
- To ensure, that all team members adhere strictly to Company safety regulations/standards.
- Knowledge of International Standards
- Full understanding of vendor documentation and its interface points with Company engineering

documents.
- Participate project meetings/reviews and provide project status as and when required
- Accountable to understand the requirements of office quality system.

Required knowledge and experience

Educational qualification: Minimum HND or Diploma in Engineering.

Professional and intellectual level: First class

Work experience: 8 years in FEED / Detailed Design

Knowledge of / experience with: FEED / Detailed Design Engineering activities for Piping De
