**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

**Perform day-to-day packaging of the Hazardous and Non-Hazardous materials, in the Pack-down area**, confirming to best manufacturing practices (cGMP) and EHS requirements in the minimum time with desired quality and quantity.

**Shift***: Shift (First / Second /General shift) - as per the requirement.**

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:
Is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
**1: Perform day-to-day activities at Pack-down area**:

- Co-ordinate with Pack-down team plan the day PO's in for staging and other activities.
- Follow the SOP's and the instructions from the seniors / Department Manager on day-to-day activities.
- Weigh hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals accurately using precision equipment into specific containers.
- Make sure all production deviations are reported.
- Responsible for achieving established productivity, safety, and service goals.
- Send the quenched materials to Hazardous materials waste as per the protocols.
- Follow and wear the required PPE during the packing / activity as per the protocols.
- Shares ideas for improvement including common sense ways (Kaizens).
- Maintains all required records such as operating logs, daily log, etc.
- Performs all job duties in compliance with safety guidelines and with an ongoing awareness of safety practices.
- Wears proper protective equipment and utilizes proper body mechanics and ergonomics while performing work.
- When potentially unsafe conditions are observed makes efforts to avoid or correct them if they are controllable and draws them to the attention of the responsible supervisor or safety representative in a timely manner.
- Notify Supervisor about equipment and production problems.
- Ensure in compliance with operational policies and safety standards.

**2: Quality and EHS**
- Maintain equipment, tools, and facilities in safe, clean environment.
- Ensure that materials and equipment's are appropriately handled to prevent cross contamination.
- Make sure all production deviations are reported.
- Sent the quenched materials to Hazardous materials waste as per the protocols.
- Follow and wear the required PPE during the activity as per the protocols.
- Clean and maintain reusable safety equipment for next use.

**3: Process Improvement**:

- Shares ideas for improvement including common sense ways (Kaizens)
- Exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule
- Actively participate in a proactive safety culture; identifying hazards.

**Skills Required**:

- **Coordination - **Good co-ordination on eye and hand during the filling activity.
- **Reading Comprehension** - Understanding the given procedures or process or related documents.
- **Operation and Control** - Focus on the packaging activity, and accurate on the filling quantity
- **Communication** - Talking to others to convey information effectively.

**Knowledge required**:

- **Process (Core)** - Knowledge of process and chemicals, and basic identification of the chemical hazards.
- **Technical**:

- Familiar with the weighing process and basic filling knowledge of chemicals.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Any Diploma / Degree.
- **Experience**:
0 - 3 years of experience in relevant industry.
