Sales Officer

As a Sales Officer (S.O) or Area Sales Executive (ASE) with experience in General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels, your primary responsibility is to drive sales and revenue growth for our company's products, which include henna/herbal cosmetics and Khadi India personal care products. You will be responsible for managing relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts in your assigned territory. Your role involves executing sales strategies, achieving targets, and contributing to the expansion of our market presence.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Sales and Revenue Generation**:Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets set by the company.
Identify opportunities for business growth within the GT and MT channels and create plans to capitalize on them.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to ensure consistent revenue flow.
**Channel Management**:Manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and other channel partners to ensure product availability and visibility.
Collaborate with channel partners to execute promotions, discounts, and marketing campaigns to drive sales.
**Market Analysis**:Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Gather and analyze market feedback to provide insights for product improvements or new product development.
**Territory Management**:Divide the assigned territory into segments and plan visits to maximize coverage and customer engagement.
Regularly visit retail outlets, wholesalers, and distributors to build strong relationships and ensure the availability of our products.
**Training and Product Knowledge**:Provide training and product knowledge sessions to distributor sales teams and retail staff to enhance their understanding of our offerings.
Ensure that all stakeholders are well-informed about the features, benefits, and proper usage of our products.
**Sales Reporting**:Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, orders, and customer interactions using appropriate tools or software.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to the management team.
**Customer Relationship Management**:Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Foster strong relationships with key accounts and address their needs to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
**Promotional Activities**:Plan and coordinate participation in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events to showcase our products and increase brand visibility.
**Achieve Targets and KPIs**:Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, market share goals, and other key performance indicators set by the company.
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the henna/herbal cosmetics or personal care product industry.
- Strong understanding of GT and MT channels, distribution networks, and retail dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Proficiency in using sales management software and tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
**Salary**: ₹16,881.83 - ₹44,500.09 per month
