Co-curricular English Teacher

**English Teacher - Job Description**

1. Plan and execute lessons according to a curriculum that covers Co-Curricular English, Communicative English, and Teacher Training, with a focus on developing listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills.

2. Teach the principles of the English language to students at different academic levels, utilizing various teaching methods.

3. Create and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of students, in addition to the provided teaching resources.

4. Assess student progress through homework assignments, exams, and other forms of evaluation.

5. Build trusting relationships with students, and other staff members.

6. Provide guidance and support to students, addressing their questions and concerns.

7. Grade student tests, essays, and assignments, offering constructive feedback to help students improve.

8. Track student progress and maintain accurate records of their performance.

9. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.

10.Stay updated with current teaching methods and educational trends in the field of English language instruction.

11.Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities

12.Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

13.Use technology effectively in the classroom to enhance learning and engage students.

14.Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.

**Teaching Guidelines in Detail**:
**Familiarize with the following Courses**:
1. Our verticals consist of Co-Curricular English, Communicative English, Teacher Training, and Business English.

2. We provide English proficiency courses including PTE, IELTS, OET, and Language Cert.

3. As a trainer, it is important to have a deep understanding of the exam format, the types of questions asked, the scoring system, and the level of English proficiency required for all the above courses.

4. The trainer ensures to read the handbooks/guidelines of the aforementioned English courses and other relevant materials to gain a solid understanding of the courses and their assessments.

**Plan lessons carefully**:
1. The trainer plans lessons well in advance, considering the students' level, learning goals, and class duration.

2. They utilize a variety of teaching methods to ensure student engagement and motivation.

**Create a positive learning environment**:
1. The trainer creates a friendly and supportive learning environment in the classroom.

2. The trainer encourages students to ask questions, participate in discussions, and express their opinions.

3. The trainer always remains patient, approachable, and willing to help students in any way they can.

**Use authentic materials**:
1. The trainer uses authentic resources provided by EducateMe Organisation and any suggested materials from the online repositories as suggested by the Head of Trainers.

2. EducateMe's resources are copyrighted, and sharing or using them for other outside sources is highly prohibited.

**Provide regular feedback**:
1. The trainer provides regular feedback to the students on their performance.

2. The trainer identifies their strengths and weaknesses and provide suggestions for improvement.

3. The trainer uses a variety of assessment methods to evaluate students' progress, including mock exams, quizzes, and oral presentations.

1. The trainer stays up-to-date with the latest developments in the proficiency courses mentioned above and attending workshops, seminars, and training sessions.

2. The trainer reads academic journals, research papers, and other relevant materials to keep herself informed about new trends and developments in the field.

**Collaborate with colleagues**:
1. The trainer collaborates with the colleagues to share ideas, resources, and teaching strategies.
