Position : PLAY THERAPIST
Overview:
The play therapist at HealthLand forms an essential part of the team.Play Therapy is
an effective, expressive therapy which enables a child to enter into a dynamic
relationship with the therapist that enables them to express, explore and make sense
of their difficult feelings and events that are hard to express verbally.
Play Therapy is a non-directive and child centred form of therapy which helps
children find healthier ways of communicating, develop fulfilling relationships,
increase resiliency and facilitate emotional literacy through the use of different
creative tools such as therapeutic Play, Sandplay, Art, Music, Drama, Dance
Movement, Meditation and Storytelling. It allows the child a chance to deal with and
‘play out’ issues in a free and protected space without being judged.
The primary role of play therapist is to use play as a communication tool to help
children understand their world and deal with physical ailments, emotional distress
understanding of the dietetics domain, coupled with a passion for children's
well-being, to drive sales and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient care coordinator for every child ensuring their treatment experience is
smooth and hasslefree
2. Provide regular therapeutic interventions to help children better cope with the
issues they're facing
3. Build up a relationship of trust with children and their parents/carers
4. Create a safe and stable environment in which children can express themselves
through play
5. Ensure children's safety when using the play area and play equipment
6. Regularly evaluate and review play therapy sessions and progress
7. Keep accurate records about therapy interventions, issues and progress
8. Attend meetings with other professionals involved in the child’s care, and
report activities and progress
9. Provide training, consultation and advice when required to other professionals
10. Keep up to date with the latest developments in play therapy and with your own
professional development.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Practitioner in Therapeutic Play Skills,Diploma in Play Therapy or
Postgraduate Diploma in Practice Based Play Therapy
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in patient facing role
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of child development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly with both children
and adults
- Respect for children without judgement
- Empathy and sincerity towards others
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure
- Strong observation and listening skills, Creativity and imagination
- Team Working skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other
professionals
- Ability to deal with confidential matters appropriately
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Knowledge of paediatric healthcare services.
- Basic Computer operating knowledge
- Ability to use CRM tools for tracking leads and sales progress.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
