Packing Supervisor

**Job Title**: Packing Foreman

**Reporting To**: Production Manager / Factory Manager

Role Objective:
To supervise and manage all packing operations on the shop floor, ensuring timely, accurate, and hygienic packaging of finished goods as per company standards. The Packing Foreman is responsible for manpower deployment, machine coordination, line efficiency, and adherence to quality norms in the packing area.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise day-to-day biscuit packing operations across all packing lines (primary and secondary)
- Ensure packing output meets daily production targets and shift-wise planning
- Allocate manpower across shifts and lines based on load and machine availability
- Ensure all packed products conform to weight, sealing, date coding, and hygiene standards
- Minimize downtime by coordinating with maintenance and resolving packing line issues promptly
- Monitor rejection rates and implement corrective action to reduce packing defects
- Maintain accurate records for shift output, wastage, packing material consumption, and manpower
- Coordinate with QA, Production, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth flow of goods
- Ensure compliance with food safety, personal hygiene, and housekeeping protocols at all times
- Train packing operators and helpers on SOPs and work discipline
- Monitor packing material (PM) usage and raise requisitions as needed

Key Performance Indicators:

- Daily packing line output vs. plan (% adherence)
- Packing material utilization efficiency
- Rejection and rework rates (%)
- Machine uptime vs. downtime
- Labour productivity per shift
- Hygiene and audit readiness score
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a food/FMCG factory packing environment
- Prior exposure to high-speed packaging machinery (preferably biscuits or snacks)
- Good understanding of packing line operations, shift management, and QA coordination
- Ability to manage a team of workers and meet aggressive timelines

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
