**Job Description: Political Science Teacher (IB DP & ISC - Grades 11 & 12)**

**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Teach Political Science to students in Grades 11 and 12 under both IB DP and ISC curricula.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with IB and ISC standards.
- Prepare students for IB DP assessments, Extended Essay supervision, and ISC board examinations.
- Employ innovative teaching methodologies to engage and inspire students.
- Guide students in understanding complex political theories, systems, and global political issues.
- Foster critical thinking, research skills, and analytical writing in students.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum planning sessions, and professional development programs.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students, including remedial sessions when required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.

**Qualifications and Requirements**

Educational Qualifications**:

- Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Political Science.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with a specialisation in Political Science.
- ** Experience**:

- Proven teaching experience in Political Science for IB DP and ISC Grades 11 and 12 is mandatory.
- Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred.
- ** Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of IB DP and ISC curriculum frameworks and assessment standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse learning styles.
- Proficient in technology-enabled teaching tools and online learning platforms.
