A **CMM Operator in the Automotive Industry** is responsible operating and programming **Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)**.

**Key Responsibilities of a CMM Operator in Automotive Manufacturing**
- **Operating CMM Machines** - Using CMMs to measure and inspect automotive parts against **engineering blueprints and CAD models**.
- **Interpreting GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)** - Ensuring compliance with critical tolerances for safety and performance.
- **Programming CMM Software** - Writing or modifying measurement programs using **PC-DMIS, Calypso, or Mitutoyo MCOSMOS** to automate inspections.
- **Performing Quality Inspections** - Checking machined components, castings, plastic parts, or assemblies for **defects, warpage, or deviations**.
- **Documentation & Reporting** - Generating inspection reports and analyzing data for **quality assurance and process improvement**.
- **Collaborating with Engineers & Production Teams** - Working with design, production, and quality engineers to resolve manufacturing issues.
- **Calibrating & Maintaining CMM Machines** - Ensuring accuracy by calibrating equipment and troubleshooting any measurement inconsistencies.

**Skills Required for a CMM Operator in the Automotive Industry**

✔ Proficiency in CMM operation & programming (PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso, etc.)
✔ Strong knowledge of **GD&T and blueprint reading**
✔ Experience with **automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001)**
✔ Understanding of **SPC (Statistical Process Control)**
✔ Ability to troubleshoot measurement discrepancies
✔ Basic machining or manufacturing knowledge

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
