- **Performing Diagnostic Imaging**: Radiographers operate various imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines, to produce images of the body.
- **Patient Care**: They prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain the process, and ensure their comfort and safety.
- **Equipment Operation and Maintenance**: Radiographers are responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of imaging equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and calibrated correctly.
- **Image Quality**: They adjust settings and techniques to obtain high-quality images that are clear and diagnostic.
- **Patient Positioning**: They accurately position patients for optimal imaging, minimizing radiation exposure and ensuring accurate image acquisition.
- **Record Keeping**: Radiographers maintain accurate patient records and file images, ensuring proper documentation of procedures and results.
- **Radiation Safety**: They strictly adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to both patients and themselves.
- **Collaboration**: They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
