**Job Description**:
ASSOCIATE - CORPORATE AND M&A - HYDERABAD

Qualifications and experience:
1. A five year law degree from a reputed university with a good academic record. (Added advantage: CA/CS)

2. 1-3 years of experience in the corporate practice of a well reputed law firm(s) or a mix of law firm experience and in-house experience.

Key skills required:
3. Understanding of general corporate laws, including, Companies Act, 2013, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, Competition Act, 2002, Indian Contracts Act, 1872, Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) laws, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, Industrial and Labour Law(s), Data Protection Laws, Legal Metrology Act, 2010 and substantive laws for dispute resolution mechanisms.

4. Worked as team member on large or medium sized assignments/transactions with a team of associates, worked on joint ventures, M&A, private equity, restructuring, agreements. Understanding of what needs review in a due diligence exercise, submit reports based on check lists for preparation of a full report within a limited time.

7. Excellent communication skills (moot court or litigation experience useful).
8. Fast turnaround time and attention to detail.
9. Analytical ability
10. Tech savvy, able to use computer efficiently, social media and e-commerce mechanisms.
11. Excellent research skills, can actively participate in Knowledge Management and ability to write articles and papers.
12. High level of integrity, honesty and commitment to work ethics and conforms to Firm’s policies.
13. Ability to prepare for and assist in business development activities.
14. Commercial acumen (business lawyer).
