**Job description**

**Job Title: Counter Salesperson - Apparel Industry/Retail**

**Salary Range :16000 to 18000**

**Timing / Shift: Monday to Saturday**:
**Qualification (Min & Max) : 12th /Graduate**

**Experience (Min & Max) : 2 Years to 3 years**

**Language: Kannada, English, Hindi Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**:

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting apparel that suits their needs and preferences.
- Provide detailed information about products, including fabric, style, size, and care instructions.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- **Sales**:

- Promote and upsell products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets and contribute to team goals.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Monitor stock levels and inform management of low inventory or out-of-stock items.
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing new shipments of merchandise.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- **Store Maintenance**:

- Ensure the sales area is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Arrange merchandise displays to attract customers and promote specific products.
- Follow store policies and procedures for security and safety.
- **Product Knowledge**:

- Stay updated on the latest fashion trends and product knowledge.
- Attend training sessions and meetings as required to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Assist with other tasks as needed, such as restocking shelves, setting up displays, and preparing for special events.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in fashion or retail management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a retail sales role, preferably in the apparel industry.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer skills.
- A keen interest in fashion and a good eye for detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move merchandise as needed.

**Work Environment**:

- Fast-paced retail setting.
- Interaction with a diverse customer base.
- May involve standing for long periods and occasional lifting of merchandise.
