A Defence Sector Marketing Executive is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote defence products and services to government agencies, military forces, and other relevant stakeholders within the defence industry, requiring a deep understanding of military procurement processes, technical specifications, and market trends, while building relationships with key decision-makers to generate new business opportunities. Key responsibilities may include:
- **Market Analysis**:Conducting in-depth research on defence market trends, competitor analysis, and identifying potential opportunities for new products and services within the defence sector.
- **Product Positioning**:Developing and executing marketing strategies to position defence products effectively, highlighting key features and benefits relevant to military needs.
- **Tender Management**:Actively participating in the tendering process by preparing proposals, technical documentation, and presentations to respond to government requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- **Customer Relationship Management**:Building strong relationships with key decision-makers within the defence establishment, including military officers, procurement officials, and government agencies.
- **Sales Support**:Collaborating with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support during sales presentations and negotiations.
- **Marketing Communications**:Developing and implementing marketing communication campaigns across various channels including trade shows, conferences, publications, digital media, and PR activities to promote the company's defence capabilities.
- **Market Intelligence**:Monitoring industry regulations, government policies, and emerging technologies within the defence sector to stay updated on market dynamics.
- **Event Management**:Organizing and participating in defence industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to showcase products and network with potential clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- **Technical Knowledge**:Strong understanding of defence technology, military equipment, and technical specifications relevant to the products being marketed.
- **Government Procurement Expertise**:Familiarity with government procurement procedures, including Defence Procurement Policy (DPP), tendering processes, and compliance requirements.
- **Relationship Building**:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within the defence sector.
- **Marketing Acumen**:Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies, including market segmentation, positioning, and branding.
- **Analytical Skills**:Ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights to inform marketing decisions.
- **Presentation Skills**:Confidence in delivering compelling presentations to potential clients and stakeholders.
Relevant Experience:
- Prior experience in a marketing role within the defence industry, preferably with a focus on government sales or military procurement.
- Background in engineering, aerospace, or a related technical field can be advantageous.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹36,254.02 per month
