**About The Team/Project**

Primary Customer for this role will be Development & Testing teams for various clients and DBA team.

**What You’ll Do**
- Installing and configuring database systems, patches and upgrades
- Monitoring and reporting on database service availability
- Administer and maintain the development, testing and production database environments
- Conducting capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning of relational databases
- Troubleshooting and fixing issues with development, testing and production database environments
- Developing, implementing and auditing database security
- Implementing policies and procedures governing corporate database operations and related issues
- Provide technical advice to analysts and developers
- Provide remote/on-site support to customers

**Unleash your potential**

To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a DBA in Oracle RDBMS including Database Creation, Configuration, Maintenance, Cloning & Patching on Windows and Linux environments (RAC & NON-RAC)
- Experience in Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) is essential
- Solid understanding of database performance tuning and monitoring tools including AWR, ADDM is required
- Good exposure of ORACLE Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows including basic commands and basic shell scripting.
- Knowledge of AWS RDS will be advantageous
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MS SQL server will be advantageous
- Good exposure of Backup and Recovery (Oracle RMAN and Data pump)
- Skills in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL
- Basic understanding of key hardware concepts e.g. Fault Tolerance, RAID, High Availability, disaster recovery etc
- Basic understanding of software development concepts, release management, configuration management, quality, testing
