Tig Welder

Welding Operations:

- Perform TIG welding on a range of metal materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Set up and adjust TIG welding equipment, ensuring proper settings for voltage, amperage, and gas flow.
- Clean, prepare, and tack-weld components as necessary prior to full welding.
- Execute welding operations with precision, maintaining consistent weld bead size and penetration.
- Monitor and control heat input to prevent warping and distortion of welded parts.
- Perform weld inspections to identify defects and ensure weld quality meets industry standards.

Material Preparation and Handling:

- Select and prepare appropriate welding materials, filler rods, and shielding gases.
- Cut, grind, and shape metal components using various tools and equipment.
- Ensure proper fit-up and alignment of welded parts before commencing welding.

Safety and Quality:

- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Inspect and clean welding equipment and work area to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
- Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) of welded joints to ensure quality and structural integrity.
- Identify and rectify welding defects, such as porosity, undercutting, and incomplete fusion.

Collaboration:

- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Provide input for continuous improvement of welding processes and techniques.

Maintenance:

- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment.
