The Supply Chain Services group part of Product Support & Logistics Division currently has a job opening for a ‘Supply Chain Planning Engineer 1’ position located in Bangalore, India facility.

**Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) Team Overview**:
The Data Accuracy & Records Tracking (DART) being part of SCS group is responsible for seamless execution of critical processes for Caterpillar manufacturing facilities in the areas of New Product Introduction (NPI), Electronic Data Interface (EDI), shipping Label and Analytics solutions. Supply Chain Services team delivers value by initiating and participating in business-critical projects and solutions.

**Supply Chain Planning Engineer 1 (DART Client Lead) - JOB PURPOSE**:
This position is responsible to improve facility inbound receiving efficiency through effective collaboration with facilities, suppliers and internal resources and improve the EDI and shipping label performance for DART client facilities that include Caterpillar manufacturing, logistics centers, and cross-dock facilities located globally. Also, responsible to share the monthly ASN performance with facility and share RCCA to consistently improve performance month on month.

**JOB DUTIES**:
This position is primarily responsible to ensure EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) ASN, Invoice and shipping label standards are followed, and the SLAs are consistently achieved for globally supported Caterpillar client facilities. DART core functions include, working with suppliers to improve on-time and accurate EDI ASN, Invoice and SP20 labels and working with client facilities to ensure the EDI ASN, Invoice and SP20 labels are used appropriately to improve the receiving efficiency.

Responsibilities of ‘Supply Chain Planning Engineer 1 - Client Lead’ may include, but are not limited to:

- Responsible to achieve enterprise EDI standards for DART global facilities.
- Defining, tracking, and reporting by facility on supplier 856-ASN (Advance Shipping Notice), 810-Invoice, and SP20 (Standard Practice) Label conformance and accuracy to ensure high EDI performance objectives are achieved and maintained
- Acting as the Primary liaison between the client facilities, suppliers and DART to ensure various inbound EDI and/or label issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner
- Developing effective RCCA solutions to improve facility EDI and Shipping label performances
- Facilitating monthly update meetings with client facilities on EDI progress, using dashboard reporting and other data sources to develop EDI presentations
- Troubleshooting DART system/EDI issues with systems/technical teams and supporting new software development and enhancements that would support better tracking and reporting
- Developing EDI coordinators, ASN and RMD grief analyst on new concepts and scenarios to enhance their process knowledge
- Assisting in proposal development for potential new clients
- Coordinating, reporting, and managing resources responsible for RMD (Receipt Match Discrepancy) record reconciliations to ensure completion in a timely manner
- Performing internal quality audit to mitigate risk
- Establishing and stabilizing any new clients in terms of training facility and suppliers, system setups and developing process documentation and workflow management
- Ability to bring new business solutions and process improvements to enable process efficiency
- Proactive approach to improve performance and ability to take informed decisions
- Incumbent is required to work effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams to achieve EDI targets.

**POSITION IMPACTS**: Incumbent is responsible to achieve enterprise EDI ASN, Invoice & SP20 standards for global facilities to improve the facility inbound receiving efficiency.
