**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Individualized Instruction**:

- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring that educational goals are tailored to each student’s needs.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and accommodations to address diverse learning styles and needs.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' academic, behavioral, and social progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
- Prepare and present reports on student progress to parents, guardians, and school administrators.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and development.
- Implement behavioral interventions and support strategies to manage classroom dynamics and address individual behavioral needs.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and other specialists to integrate students with special needs into the general education setting when appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about students' progress, needs, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and review IEPs and other student support plans.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay current with best practices in special education and changes in regulations and standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in special education.
- **Compliance and Documentation**:

- Ensure that all documentation related to IEPs, assessments, and student progress meets state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student information and educational plans.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field. A Master’s degree in Special Education or a related area is preferred.
