Cisco Router & Switch Configuration and Management: Strong understanding of networking protocols, subnetting, and routing concepts. Configure and manage network Cisco routers to ensure efficient and secure routing of data traffic, including IP routing, subnetting, and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).

Firewall Configuration and Administration: Proficiency in firewall technologies, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control mechanisms., Configure and maintain Palo Alto, Fortigate firewall systems to enforce security policies, access controls, and threat prevention mechanisms, ensuring protection against unauthorized access and cyber threats.

Network Security: Implement firewall rules, access lists, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to safeguard the network from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyberattacks.

Traffic Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor network traffic and firewall logs to detect and respond to security incidents, anomalies, and potential network breaches.

Incident Triage: Conduct initial analysis of security incidents related to routers and firewalls, categorize their severity, and escalate to higher-level teams as needed.

VPN Management: Configure and manage virtual private network (VPN) connections to ensure secure remote access for employees, partners, and vendors.

Network Performance Optimization: Collaborate with network engineers to optimize network performance by fine-tuning router configurations, managing Quality of Service (QoS), and implementing network load balancing.

Change Management: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and security incidents., Implement configuration changes to routers and firewalls in a controlled manner, adhering to change management processes and minimizing service disruptions.

Documentation: Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and incident response best practices, Maintain accurate documentation of router and firewall configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

Collaboration: Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and document network configurations clearly., Work closely with network administrators, security analysts, and cross-functional IT teams to troubleshoot network issues, implement security best practices, and ensure a cohesive network environment.
