**1. Diagnosis of Diabetes and Related Conditions**
- **Evaluate Symptoms**: Assess patients for common diabetes symptoms such as increased thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, and unexplained weight loss.
- **Blood Tests and Diagnostics**: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including **fasting blood glucose**, **oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT)**, **HbA1c**, and **urine tests**, to diagnose diabetes and monitor disease progression.
- **Assess Complications**: Evaluate the presence of related conditions like **diabetic retinopathy**, **neuropathy**, **nephropathy**, and **cardiovascular disease**.

**2. Develop Personalized Treatment Plans**
- **Medication Management**: Prescribe medications such as **insulin**, **oral hypoglycemic agents**, or **GLP-1 agonists** to control blood glucose levels and manage symptoms. Adjust medication types and dosages based on the patient's condition and response.
- **Insulin Therapy**: For Type 1 and some Type 2 diabetes patients, manage insulin therapy, including adjusting doses, teaching insulin administration, and monitoring for side effects.
- **Lifestyle Modifications**: Provide guidance on healthy eating, weight management, and exercise plans. Recommend lifestyle changes to improve blood glucose control and reduce the risk of complications.
- **Comorbidity Management**: Oversee and treat other conditions commonly associated with diabetes, such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and obesity.
