Design, deploy, and maintain PostgreSQL database instances on Amazon Web Services, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement and oversee database backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies to maintain data integrity and availability.
- Monitor database performance metrics and adjust configurations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular security assessments and updates to ensure compliance with industry standards and protect against vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimise database structures, queries, and indexes for maximum efficiency and performance.
- Manage AWS RDS for PostgreSQL including provisioning, performance tuning, and version upgrades.
- Automate routine tasks with AWS tools and scripting languages to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
- Provide expert advice and technical support to development teams regarding database practices, query optimization, and data management.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends in database technologies and AWS services to continually improve the infrastructure.**Requirements**:

- Deep expertise in managing PostgreSQL databases, with extensive experience in database architecture and performance tuning on AWS.
- Proficiency in AWS services related to database management such as RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and AWS CLI.
- Strong background in database security management, backup procedures, and disaster recovery techniques.
- Experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar for database task automation.
- Familiarity with network services and protocols including DHCP, DNS, and load balancing.
- Ability to document standard operating procedures, system configurations, and architecture designs clearly and effectively.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in database administration, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL and AWS environments.

Pay: Up to ₹1,500,000.00 per year
