**Your day at NTT DATA**

This role will be required to leverage skills and expertise to introduce new ideas and improve on existing solutions in line with established frameworks and governance.

This role plays an important part in how the organization shapes and performs data governance. Additionally, this role develops and implements data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to establish data governance best practices across the organization.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Works with various stakeholders to analyze data requirements, develop data models, and ensure the integrity and security of our data infrastructure.
- Supports with the optimization of data storage and retrieval, enhances data quality and governance, and guides the organization in making informed data-driven decisions.
- Proactively supports the translation of business requirements into databases, data warehouses, and data streams, collaborate with other teams and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate data models and structures.
- Supports the design and implementation of data integration and data flow processes to ensure efficient data movement across different systems and platforms.
- Receives instructions to analyze, plan, and define data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data.
- Assists with the definition and implementation of data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Supports with preparing and facilitating data governance communities, workshops, and meetings.
- Assists with creating and implementing data management processes and procedures.
- Provide support in the definition of technical standards and guidelines that pertain to data and information use, security, access and governance (including defining accountabilities in support of data quality mandates).

- Knowledge of data governance, data integration, data quality, data lifecycle processes and data management best practices, and how these impacts business performance.
- Capable change agent and communicator knowing how to demonstrate the value of data governance, create organizational buy-in and get the organization to understand data governance.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, contributing to their success.
- Ability to build relationships, manage business partners and navigate with ease at all levels of the organization from senior management to specialists.
- Problem-solving and analytical capabilities to safeguard data integrity, security, and organization.
- Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and experience implementing data protection measures.
- Developing expertise in data modelling techniques, data warehousing concepts, and database management systems.
- Developing competency in SQL and experience with database development and performance optimization.
- Developing knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.

**Academic qualifications and certifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in either Information Systems or Computer Science or a related field.
- Certifications in data management or related areas (e.g., DAMA Certified Data Management Professional) preferred.

**Required experience**:

- Moderate level of demonstrated experience working as a Data Governance Specialist or in a similar role.
- Moderate level of demonstrated foundational experience in developing and implementing data governance strategies, frameworks, and operating models.
- Moderate level of demonstrated experience in developing training materials, conducting data governance workshops, and facilitating knowledge sharing sessions.
- Moderate level of demonstrated foundational experience with data management tools and technologies.
- Moderate level of demonstrated experience in developing data governance frameworks, data dictionaries, data classification schemes, and data standards is desirable.
