**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
**What you’ll do**:
IIn a typical day as a **DevOps Expert**, you would:

- Develop and follow operational best practices for tools and automation development. Including: Versioning practices, source control, branching and merging patterns and advising other engineers on development standards
- Develop and advocate for CICD best practices, standards and processes
- Automating the build, test, and deployment processes to reduce errors and increase efficiency.
- Managing and maintaining the build and release infrastructure, including tools and servers
- Provide support to our operations team to support, maintain and upgrade the existing configuration management environment
- Help evaluate, build and deploy tools to assist with deployment framework required for each Enterprise platform
- Develop solutions in alignment with departmental goals, SLA's for availability, scalability and resiliency
- Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards
- Help develop strategies for zero down time deployments and patching
- Partner with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement in the deployment and build processes
- Help troubleshoot issues and work with the team to address root cause to minimize the chance of a second occurrence
- Find opportunities to automate as part of the problem management process, creating automation to avoid issues
- Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.
- Effectively communicating the status, issues, and risks in a timely manner to stakeholders.

**What you need to bring**:
**Education Qualification**:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Typically 10+ years of relevant experience and overall 5+ Years

scripting/automation experience with Bash, Python, Perl, and/or other scripting languages. - 5+ years of experience in infrastructure management and DevOps

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Extensive experience as a Linux system administrator supporting enterprise computing platforms, and systems.
- Strong coding and troubleshooting experience in any of the following languages: Shell scripting and Python or or Java or Go
- Admin level experience with tools like Git, Artifactory and Nexus
- Working experience implementing, operating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Spinnaker, CircleCI, etc.)
- Experience with containerization and source control (Docker/Docker Hub/Helm) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
- Experience in in developing and deploying microservices in Virtualized/Cloud environment (Red Hat OCP, AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform etc - Hands on experience with delivering and managing solutions on Red Hat OCP, AWS, Azure and/or GCP, Red Hat OpenStack
- Desire to learn and continually improve self and others through knowledge sharing - Closely work with a team of Automation engineers and ensure that the tasks are completed on time with top notch Quality
- Should be able to work on multiple tracks on priority basis in a fast paced environment - Should serve as an escalation point to resolve blocking issues, dependencies, risks
- Closely work with Product Management, Development team, IT Ops team for ensuring resolution of issues and prioritization of work
- Sustain the various ongoing activities and processes of automation team like - Updating Stories and Features, Automation and Continuous Integration, Adherence to CICD pipeline processes and checklist etc
- Should be able to work with cross-geo teams and across time zones
