**About the Project**:
Policies of Thought, a advisory body, aims to bring about significant change through in-depth research and evidence-based analysis. At the core, we are a diverse team of policy specialists, legal scholars, data analysts and content creators, pooling our knowledge to delve beyond the surface of policies where we consider not only the immediate implications but also the broader societal and systemic effects of a policy. PoT operates independently and freely from any partisan influences as we steadfastly uphold the principles of the public interest.We are currently seeking an exceptionally skilled and detail-oriented Legal Researcher to join our team. As a Legal Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in meticulously conducting comprehensive legal research, policies and a plethora of legal materials to provide invaluable insights.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Examine and scrutinize intricate legal documents, extracting pertinent information while identifying key legal issues and implications.
- Remain informed about contemporary legal developments, court decisions, and legislative amendments, recognizing their potential impact.
- Foster a collaborative environment by actively engaging with our team and providing comprehensive research support.
- Uphold records of research findings, ensuring that the team has access to information at all times.

**Key Requirements**:

- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized Indian university. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of legal research, preferably with experience in the Indian legal system gained through law firms, legal departments, or renowned research organizations.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of Indian legal principles, procedures, and terminologies, including familiarity with relevant Indian laws, acts, and regulations.
- Proficiency in conducting exhaustive legal research using online databases, legal libraries, and other reputable Indian legal sources.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, capable of effectively analyzing and interpreting Indian case law, statutes, and legal precedents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as proficiency in legal drafting in accordance with Indian legal standards and practices.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to research and documentation, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to Indian legal requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines in alignment with Indian legal requirements.

**Job Type**: Internship
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ₹10,000.00 per month
