The Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project Development Site Supervisor assesses the feasibility of solar PV installation, by conducting energy audits and supervising site inspections. He designs solar PV and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) by recommending technical, mechanical and civil specifications, and performing computer simulations of the solar PV and ESS system to assess its efficiency. He supervises the installation and testing of solar PV, ESS and grounding systems. He also monitors the project costs incurred and possible risks.

Tasks
- Conduct energy audits and assessments to verify solar Photovoltaic (PV) installations follow regulations.
- Document existing defects and other building conditions.
- Evaluate on the progress of the project.
- Implement processes for the installation of solar PV systems.
- Lead in the resolution of any potential hazards.
- Monitor the costs incurred and risks involved with solar PV projects.
- Perform computer simulations of solar PV energy generation to determine system efficiency.
- Prepare documents and project progress reports for key stakeholders.
- Prepare materials required for the approval of work permits.
- Prepare risk assessments and possible safety enhancing measures for solar PV installations.
- Prepare technical specifications of equipment for procurement.
- Propose technical, civil and mechanical specifications for solar PV systems.
- Provide input for the development of overall project plans with construction details and approved permits.
- Supervise the contractors in performing scaffolding operations.
- Supervise the installation of lightning protection systems.
- Supervise the installation of solar PV and communication systems.
- Supervise the site inspections for solar PV installations.
- Supervise the testing and commissioning of solar PV and grounding systems.
