Public Policy Intern

**Introduction**:
The Economist Intelligence Unit’s public policy team is conducting research on infrastructure finance in Asia.
**Accountabilities**:
We are looking for an intern to start immediately and develop a literature review and benchmarking framework, with a proposed deadline of December 2019.
The research programme explores infrastructure investment opportunities in Asia and builds its analysis on infrastructure financing cost and activity in select Asian countries.
The intern will work with the EIU’s Singapore-based consulting team to develop a literature review and benchmarking framework.
**Experience, skills and professional attributes**:
**To be successful in this role you must have**:
- Strong writing and editing skills in English, and an ability to write well under time pressure
- Relevant degree in Economics, ideally Master’s degree or equivalent. Experience with infrastructure research and analysis is a plus point
- Experience conducting literature reviews, economic analysis, benchmarking models, data collection, interpretation, analysis and presentations
- An interest in current Asian infrastructure investments and activities and its impact on regional long-term economic growth
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
- The ability to work autonomously
